you don’t mind
when she dresses you up
you are her dolly
but it suits you
to be inanimate
objectified
inert
and this is why you push me away
because i know you better
i expect more from you
what is inside
causing that ache
and your face to turn plastic
and your heart to turn stony
should be let out
revealed
healed
but you’d rather
play dress up
with a girl who doesn’t know better
because it’s not scary
or hard
